In 1473, Columbus began his apprenticeship as business agent for the important Centurione, Di Negro and Spinola families of Genoa. Later, he allegedly made a trip to Chios, an Aegean island then ruled by Genoa.[17] In May 1476, he took part in an armed convoy sent by Genoa to carry valuable cargo to northern Europe. He probably docked in Bristol, England,[18] and Galway, Ireland. He may have also gone to Iceland in 1477.[4][19][20] It is known that in the autumn of 1477, he sailed on a Portuguese ship from Galway to Lisbon, where he found his brother Bartolomeo, and they continued trading for the Centurione family. Columbus based himself in Lisbon from 1477 to 1485. He married Filipa Moniz Perestrelo, daughter of the Porto Santo governor and Portuguese nobleman of Lombard origin Bartolomeu Perestrello

Mondays highlights 07/09/2020

 Hello were you waiting for me and my fun fact, well here we are... First fun fact: Did you know that Jupiter's weight is more than every planet in the solar system ( not including the planet Pluto )? Today in assembly few people from each class expressed the teachers day in their own way. I loved it. The people representing our class were Tamaara and Ziyan....... Next in Ms Nivedita's class, we discussed about the assessment and Milan reminded us about watching Dr Long's video📹as it was Monday. It was about monkey🐒🐵🙈🙉🙊 catching. Then we discussed the video. We got answers like the monkey was greedy and we also got stories about greediness. The video was actually about 'TO LET GO....."! Our discussion came to a sudden end the time was up for a quick bite of yummy food🥘🍲😋.
